Self-Improvement Patterns of Jesus: 12 Secrets to Revolutionize Your Life - Part II

Jesus of Nazareth was perhaps the greatest and most influential communicator of all time. His manner of living was purposeful, powerful and pragmatic.

How can we model Jesus and implement His proven techniques in our own lives?

Here are 12 secrets to unlock your hidden potential, revolutionize your life and get you moving in victory en route to fulfilling your dreams.

Today we pick up where we left off from Part I.

5.Be Powerful in Speech.

Jesus knew how to fit and frame His words. His words were both spirit and life to the people. (John 6:63) Unlike others, Jesus spoke with great authority (Matthew 7:29). Because He spoke the Word of God, the life of our Creator flowed forth in His speech. His speech therefore quickly distinguished Him and differentiated Him from the rest of the scribes stuck in dead religion and ritual.

Because the people happily responded to the gracious words of Jesus, the religious rulers became both jealous and fearful. They felt Jesus might infringe on their market niche in the religious world and empty their synagogues as the people began following Jesus by the multitudes.

"Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk." (Matthew 22:15)

In a final and pathetic attempt to discredit Christ, the scribes and Pharisees sought to ask Jesus questions to trip Him up and entangle Him in His speech. Yet Christ being the Master orator in no way was snared by their evil devices. Instead His speech accurately revealed the deception of the religious rulers hearts, impure motives and nasty negativity.

The Word of God is quick and powerful, living and active, unable to be discredited by naysayers (Hebrews 4:12). Whosoever will believe it can also speak it. As you do you will sense the life of the Spirit upon you and the living words you utter. Unlike other texts and speeches, when you recite the Word of the living God, the Word will be just as alive as ever!

6.Be Purposeful in Life

"Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice." (John 18:37)

Jesus lived for a divne cause. He came to die for the sins of the world, to be a witness of divine truth and a bridge for all of humanity to cross over and enter into the presence of the heavenly Father.

For what purpose and cause are you living? Until you begin to live for a purpose larger than yourself, you will truly never begin to live.

7.Successfully Conquer Conflict

"And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. But he passing through the midst of them went his way." (Luke 4:28-30)

When they religious leaders angrily tried to remove Him from the city and then aggressively kill Christ, He wisely and gently removed Himself from their midst. Yet Jesus never cowered to them. He walked right through them.

Such a boldness and humility coupled together enabled Christ Jesus to successfully conquer many conflicts. When necessary He would speak up and tell the religious leaders the facts of life.

"Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:43-44)

Jesus did not tolerate the arrogance of dead religious leaders. Yet some He knew would turn from their wicked way and believe the truth of the gospel. So Jesus wisely navigated through each situation with accuracy, care and precision. In this Jesus proved to be the ultimate mediator between God and man, upholding truth and silencing Himself when His words alone could not turn wayward hearts.

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1Timothy 2:5)
